Wilhelmina Sarah Harriet Hird West< no role > of King Street Covent Garden in
the County of Middlesex Spinster maketh Oath and saith That Myrtilla
Gains who lately lived with William Henset< no role > of Lant Street in the
Parish of Saint George the Martyr in Southwark in the County of
Surrey Gentleman was on the Fourth Day of September instant Committed to
Tothill Fields Bridewell and as now detained in his Majesty's Gaol
of Newgate for the County of Middlesex for stealing divers Goods and
Chattels the Property of this Deponent And this Deponent saith
That on the Sixth Day of June last she this Deponent resided at the
Dwelling House of the said William Henset situate in Lant
Street aforesaid And the said Myrtilla Gains then lived there
as Servant to the said William Henset, And stole in the Dwelling house
of the said William Henset the Goods mentioned in the said
Commitment And also a large quantity of other Goods of the Value
of Forty pounds and upwards the Property of this Deponent
which the said Myrtilla Gains carried away and absconded from
her said Service But was afterwards taken and examined before
some of the Majistrates for the County of Middlesex at the Public
Office in Litchfield Street in the said County and commited to
Prison by them as if the said Goods of this Deponent were stole
in the said County of Middlesex And this Deponent saith that
as the said Felony for which the said Myrtilla Gains now
stands charged with as aforesaid was perpetrated in the
