Whereas Benjamin Harvey< no role > alias Herbert
was at the Sessions holden at the Old
Bailey in July 1781 tried and Convicted
of Stealing Goods to the Value of Forty
Pounds and John Knowles< no role > at the Sessions
holden in February 1782 of a Burglary
and had Sentence of Death Passed upon
them for the same, and Whereas We have
thought fit upon consideration of some
favorable Circumstances humbly represented
to Us, in their behalf, inducing Us to
extend Our Grace and Mercy unto them
and to grant them Our Pardon on
Condition of their being Transported to
the Coast of Africa for and during the
Term of their natural Lives. Our Will
and Pleasure therefore is, that you make
