The Information of John Clark< no role > and Thomas Carpmeal< no role >
taken before me this 12th. day of October 1782

Who being upon Oath say and first the said John Clark< no role > says
that on Thursday last he with the said Thomas Carpmeal< no role > and other
Officers went to the House of one Green in Chambers Street Goodmans
Fields , having received Information that some Corners were
there-That he knocked at the Door and Mrs. Green Wife of
the said Green let him inThat said Carpmeal broke open
the Celler Door on the top of the Stairs and went in-That this
Informant hearing a Noise went into the Yard where
he [..] saw two persons now present who call themselves
William Yardley< no role > and James Yardley< no role > coming from out of
a Back Cellar and go into a Little [..] WorkshopThat
he and the other Officers took them into Custody and brought
them back to the said Cellar where he found a large Coining Press
fixed, a pair of Dies within it, a Quantity, of counterfeit
Half pence lying round it, a Cutting out Press, a Quantity
of Copper Blank & Sissil-and also in another Cellar a
cutting out PressThat in a Garret of said House he found
a Quantity of counterfeit Half pence now produced and a
Quantity of PaperThat he searched the said William
Yardley
< no role > and found in his Pocket (wrapped up in a Piece
of Paper) a Half penny now produced which appears
to have been struck from thesaidDies that were within
said PressAnd the said Thomas Carpmeal< no role > says that he broke
open said Cellar Door and saw said William Yardley< no role > and James
Yardley
< no role > come from out of the said Cellar where said Coining
Tools were found and saw the Snuff still lighted at said large Press That-in a one pair of Stairs front Room
where said William Yardley< no role > lived be found under the Grate
