At the Sessions in Feby. 1780 The Court was pleased to set
Callund at large on his entring into a Recognizance of £100
together with Joseph Clark< no role > & To be as Wildman in £40 each
for Callunds Appearance at the Old Bailey Sessions after the
then next Bedford Assizes And to Further respite the
Recognizances of the several Persons to prosecute and
give Evidence against him.

At the Assizes at Bedford in March 1780 an Indictment
for Felony was preferred & found agst. the sd. Taylor the
Principal as appears by the following Copy of the Certificate

These are to certify that at the Session of Oyer and
Terminer of our Lord the King of the County of Bedford
holden at Bedford in the County of sd. on Thursday the 9th.
Day of March in the 20th. Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Britain Etc.
Serjeant Taylor< no role > late of the Parish of Dunstable in the
County afsd. Labourer was & stands indicted for
Feloniously stealing taking & carrying away from &
out of a certain Mail of our sd. Lord the King called the
Northampton Mail a certain Bay of Letters called the
Leicester Bay of Letters agst. the Peace of our sd. Lord
the King his Crown & Dignity And also agt. the Form of
the Statute in such case made & provided Upon which
Indictment he the sd. Serjeant Taylor has not as Yet
been arraigned or hath he Pleaded to the same. Given
Under my Hand this 31st. Day of March 1780.

Serjeant Taylor the Principal not being apprehended
The Necessary Proceedings being concerned in Order to
Outlaw him that Callund may be put upon his Tryal,
& the Outlawry not being compleated, The Court has been
pleased be respite from Sessions to Sessions the
(Recognizances)
