Detain in your Custody the Body of John Calland< no role > he being Further
charged before us St. John Fielding< no role > Knt. & Wm. Addington< no role > Esqr. two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the sd. County upon the Oaths
of Josh. Molesworth, Wm. Jeffs, Robt. Dowley< no role > , John Jackson< no role > , Thos. Webster,
Wm. Oliver, Jas. Gorden, John Stimpson< no role > , Robt. Hill< no role > , Betty Wall, &
Arthur Griesdale< no role > for being an Accessary after the Fact, to wit, by
Feloniously harbouring comforting maintaining & assisting in the City
of London one Serjeant Taylor knowing he had Feloniously Stolen
taken & carried away one Bay of Letters called the Leicester
Bay of Letters sent & conveyed by the Port Adjournment the peace Etc
Him safely keep in your sd. Custody until he shall be discharged
by due Course of Law Given under our Hands & Seals this 11th. Day
of January 1780.

At the Delivery of the Kings Gaol of Newgate holden for the
County of Middex at Justice Hall in the Old Bailey in the Suburbs of
the City of London on Wednesday the 12th. Day of Jany. in the 20th.
Year of the Reign of our Sovrn. Lord Geo: the 3d. King of Great
Britain Etc. and in the Year of our Lord 1780.

Is committed into the Custody of the Sheriff of the City
of London for the Offence he stands charged with in the
County of Middlesex .

Br. Deacon [..] of the Goal Dely. for the Co: of Middex

At the Sessions in Janry 1780 Serjeant Taylor the princt.
Not being apprehended, & it being intended to indict him
for Felony at the then next Assiyes for the County of Bedford
to proceed to our Outlenory agst. him, & then to try Callimd;
the Court waspleasedupon Motion Pleased to refer Callimd
to the Lord Mayor to give Bail for his Appearance at the
then Next Sessions to be holden at the Old Bailey And to
respite the Recognizances of the several Persons to
Prosecute & give Evidence agst. him until the sd. Sessions
[..] not being able to procure sufficient Bail remained in Custody
till the February Sessions Following.
