The Information of Isabella< no role > the
Wife of George Kennedy< no role > of No. 3 King
Edward Street in the Parish of Saint John
Wapping Mariner Taken this third Day of
February 1781 before me One of his
Majestys Justices of the Peace in and
for the said County

Who being on Oath saith that about Six O
Clock this Evening (the day and year above mentioned)
being then in his Kitchen behind the Parlour that fronts
the Street she heard a Whispering [..]
of some People which she supposed were in the Street
and immediately went to the street Door which
she found was Street-That she then returned and
Sat down by the Kitchen Fire and still heard the
Whispering Continue when she took a Candle without
a Candlestick went into the Parlour and there
saw a Person now present who calls himself
Jacob Mendoza< no role > with One Foot on the Seat of the
Window and the other on a Chair. That the said
Jacob Mendoza< no role > at that time was Endeavouring to
make his Escape out of the Window when Informant
Endeavouring to prevent him, catched hold of his
Steel at which Instant he gave her a Violent
Kick on the Breast which caused her to fall to the a Grocer
during which time he Escaped out of the Window

Saith that upon recovering himself she went to
the Window and called out Stop Thief upon which
Alarm being given he was soon after apprehended
and One white Marsella Petticoat One Tapanned
Bread Basket One Linnen Window Curtain. One black
Silk Bonnet and the Mahogony Frame of a
a [..] Looking Glass with drawers therein (now
produced) and which he threw away upon his
being Apprehended are the Property of her said
