The Information of Mary wife of Joseph
Faikney

taken before us two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County
City and Liberty.

Who being severally upon Oath say and first this
Informant Mary Faikney< no role > for herself saith that or about the
Month of January last she was possessed of one Piece
of Gold Coin called a Five Moidore three Five Guinea
Pieces Four Two Guinea Piece Eighteen Quarter Guinea
One Remarkable Queen Anns Guinea one remarkable
half Guinea one Portugal three pound twelve Shilling
Piece and one Piece of Gold Coin celled a Carolus
of the Value of Twenty three Shillings or thereabout
all which this Informant kept together in a Silk
Pence which she deposited in a Chest of Drawers
in a Closet up one pair of Stairs in the House of
her Husband Joseph Faikney< no role > situate in Saint
John's Square Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex
that the Closet was soldem or ever locked but that
the Chest of Drawers therein this Informant we
Particularly careful off and kept them always locked
That about the 20th. of February Mr. Faikney desired this
Informant to shew him her Collection of pocket pieces
upon which this Informant went to the Chest of Drawers
abovementioned and upon opening the Drawer in which
the said purse containing the Pieces of Gold Coin [..]
above described were found that the same were taken
& Carried away but by whom this Informant cannot tell

And this Informant Joseph Faikney< no role > for himself
saith that about the 20th. of February last he asked
the other Informant Mrs. Faikney to let him see her
Collection of Pocket Pieces and upon her lookingshe
for them she told him that they were [..] gone this
Informant Immediately suspected the person now
