present who calls himself Thomas Gregory< no role > who had
lately lived Servant with him and who had liberty to
come to this Informants House for his Victuals
that the Next Morning the said Thomas Gregory< no role > came
to this Informant House upon which he immediately
accused him with [..] the Robbery when he Strongly denied it he Robbery
for some time but at last he [..] Voluntarily
confessed that he had taken the Purse with the Peaces
& had Sold them to Mr Cox the refiner in Little
Britain this Informant then asked him if he had
Sold then altogether he answered no but one as he wanted
Money the Five Moidore Piece he told this Informant
he might have if he went directly to Mr Cox the
refiner and Perhaps same others before they were Melted down
that he would wait this Informants return and give
him every further satisfaction in his power this
Informants sent immediately to Mr Cox the refiner
who gave a description very near the likeness of the
person of Thomas Gregory< no role > who had a little time before
sold to them a Five Guinea Piece this Informant
then went home to his House and found that soon after
he had left it to go to Mr Cox's the said Thomas
Gregory
< no role > got away and made his Escape and Notwithstanding
every [..] means made Use off by this Informant
to apprehend him [..] without effect untill
upon Information received about Ten Days ago he
was pursued and taken at Yar month in the County of
Norfolk , that this Informant accidently hearing that
a Watch of the said Thomas Gregory< no role > was pawned at
one Mr Careless's a pawn broker in Fox Court Grays Inn
Lane he went and made enquiry and found the same to
be true and upon asking if the said Gregory had pawned
any thing else there the Five Guinea Piece now produced
and which this Informant verily believes to have been one
of those stolen from this Informant as aforesaid was
shewn to him by the said Pawn broker who declared
he had the came from the said Thomas Gregory< no role > on the
