Middlesex to wit


The Information of Francis Sawyer< no role > taken
before me this 28th. day of September 1774

Who being upon Oath says that on Friday last two persons now
present who call themselves John Coleby< no role > and Charles Jones< no role > came
into his Boat at Westminster Bridge saying they wanted to go down
the River, that this Informant put off with them, that immediately
afterwards some persons calling out that they were Thieves and
ordering this Informant to bring them he put back with them,
that before they got to Shore he saw the said Charles Jones< no role >
pull a red Handkerchief containing something out of his Breeches
and throw the same over the Larboard side of the Boat
