The Information of Lucy Morris< no role > taken
before me this 26th. day of August 1774

Who being upon Oath says that she has known George Gammon
several years during which time he carried on the Business of a
Watch maker in Hosier Lane & was in Woodstreet Compter for Debt
that whilst the said George Gammon< no role > was in Woodstreet Compter he
did several Jobs of work for this Informants Husband in
repairing and cleaning of Watches, that about 4 Months ago
the said George Gammon came to lodge at this Informants house
and remained there about three Months during which time
the said George Gammon bought several Watches for this
Informant's Husband some of which were bought at this Informant
house and some at other places, that the said George Gammon
was also employed by this Informants Husband in repairing
cleaning and setting to rights several of the said Watches
that about 3 Months ago one morning before this Informant was
up one John Murphy< no role > a Taylor came upstairs and knocked at this
Informants Door which she opened, that the said John Murphy< no role > said
he wanted to speak to Gammon, that this Informant sent him up
Stairs to the said George Gammon, and soon afterwards they both
came down stairs again & the said George Gammon came into
this Informants Room and asked her to land him six Guineas
or six Guineas and a half which he said he should get six
Guineas by. that the said George Gammon then had a Gold
Watch engraved in Diamonds in his Hand whichshe verify
believes
he had received from the said John Murphy< no role > in this
Informants Sight, that this Informant did lend the said George
Gammon six Guineas or six Guineas and a half
