Middlesex to wit

The Information of Martin Von
Berg of Pierpool Lane in the Parish
of Saint Andrew Holborn in the said
County taken before me one of his
Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the said County.

Who being upon Oath saith that on the Sixteenth
of July last between Seven & Eight o'Clock in the
Evening he put upon a Chest of Drawer in his one
Pair of Stairs, Front Room Sixteen Guineas a half Guineas
[..] and a five shilling & three pence in Gold. Twenty
one Shillings in Silver and Two pound in Copper moneys
and locked the Door of the said Room that the time
he so left the said many a person now present who
calld himself David Jones< no role > was in the one pair of
Stairs back Room wherein he Lodged with his son
William Jones< no role > that about Six or Seven minutes
afterwards this Informant went up stairs again
to the said Room & whom he came to the Door he saw
William Jones< no role > standing upon the Landing place near
his Fathers Room Door upon saying to him no thought
he had been gone to Bed he answered yes but that he
got up again to go ask then he called his Father in a
great hurry & they both went down stairs together
this Informant then unlocked his Front Room
Door and found the Money abovementioned all
taken & carried away upon which this Informant
went Immediately down stairs & asked his wife
if she had been up stairs she answered she had
not then this Informant [..] went into the Street
& saw the said David Jone running very fast
up Pierpool Lane upon which this Informant
pursued & took him in grays Inn Lane this Informt
verily believes that the said David Jones< no role > & Wm. Jones< no role > were the
persons who Committd the said Robbery
