the said Earl Charles Grubb< no role > a Constable
and Peter Senhouse< no role > & taken before
Us two of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the said County City
and Liberty

Who being severally upon Oath say and first
this Informant. The Right Honble George Earl< no role > of
Pompet for himself saith that about ten Years ago
one Mary Meredith< no role > came to live with this Informt
as a Servant in his House and remained in his said
Service untill on or about the 27th day of November
Last 1772 that about five or Six Years. ago the
said Mary Meredith< no role > either was or pretended to be
Married to one James Walnutt< no role > that during the
time of the said Mary Meredith< no role > otherwise Mary
Walnuts continued in the service of this Informant
many things consisting of Jewels plate Watches
Trinkets Books Walning Appeal House hold
Linnen and other Goods have at various times
been missed by this Informant and his Servant from
his several Houses at Habitations in the County of
Middlesex & City & Liberty of Westminster to a very
great Value and amount And this Informant
particularly saith that the three Books now
produced the one being the first Volume of Miltons
Poetical Works in Qugrs to and the other a Polybing
likewise in Quarts the first Volume of the Huges this day of England were stolen from this Informt.
in his House in Golden Square where he then lived
about Nine or ten years ago And this Informant
further saith that a Diamond Shirt Buckle
likewise now produced is his property and was Stolen
from him in the House he then lived us in [..]
George Street in the Parish of Saint George Hanover
Square about four Years ago but by whom the
said three Books Diamond Shirt Buckle & several
other things now produced were stolen this Informant
cannot say but that the several Article of Jewels
