The Information of Henry Faulkner< no role > This name instance is in set 4524.
of Paddington in the sd. County of Middx
Labourer taken before Us two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace in
and for the said County City & Liberty

Who being upon Oath saith that about
Six or Seven o' Clock on Monday Morning of
the Seventh of October last 1771 a person now
present who calls himself Joseph Lilly< no role > together
with James Horton< no role > & another Man Whose Name
this Informant hath since learnt is Issac, came
with two Cart to the Whits Lyon in Paddington
where this Informant then was that the said
Joseph Lilly< no role > asked this Informant to go along
with them with the Cart; which he did when
they came near Tyburn Turnpike the said Joseph
Lilly
< no role > told this Informant they had got twelve
Geese and offered Eighteen pence to this Informant
if he would sell them Upon which he enquired
if they were Stolen and upon being told they
were not he Undertook to sell them then
they all went on till they came to the Sign of
the City of Quebeck a public house in Oxford
Street where this Informant sold four live
Geese and two Dead that the said Geese were
taken out of a Sack or Sacks which were in
One of the Cart by Joseph Lilly< no role > and by him
delivered to this Informant who sold than
as aboveforthe four alive Geese for half a
Crown a piece & the two Dead one for four
Shillingsthat part of the Money was taken
from the purchasers by Joseph Lilly< no role > himself
and the other part by this Informant who
gave it to the said Joseph Lilly< no role > that
soon after the said Isaac left them & took One
of the Carts with him this Informant & the said
James Horton< no role > & Lilly with the other Cart
went down park Street and by the time they
reached the Middle of the said Street they
had met with different purchasers for the
remaining Six of the Geese two Dead ones
