The Information of John Settles taken before
me this 17th. day of Decemr. 1769

Who being upon Oath says that he knows William Moody< no role >
Charles Burket< no role > John Jones< no role > John Bromley< no role > with whom he hath
been concerned in several felonies and Robberies, says that
on Sunday Evening the 10th. Instant the said William Moody< no role > the Said
Charles Burket< no role > the Said John Jones< no role > and this Informant robbed
a Gentleman in a Hackney Coach near Little Chelsea of some
Money and a Gold Watch with a Gold Chain and three Seals to it,
that the said William Moody< no role > and the Said John Jones< no role > sold the said Watch
to Sarah Cave< no role > otherwise Pitman for six Guineas and afterwards sold the
said Chain & Seals to the Said Sarah Cave< no role > for three and twenty Shillings
that about the 6th. or 8th. of December Instant the said William Moody< no role >
the said Charles Burket< no role > the Said John Bromley< no role > and this Informant broke
open a Watchmaker's house at Lambeth and stole there from a Woman's
Watch Chain which the Said William Moody< no role > gave to Mrs. Haydenthat
a few Nightsdaysbefore the last mentioned Robbery the Said William Moody< no role >
the said Charles Burket< no role > the Said John Jones< no role > and this Informant
broke open the house of Mr. Wood in Petty France & Stole therefrom
some Money and two pair of Silver Buckles, that the Said Buckles,
were sent to Pawn by a Woman to whom the Said William Moody< no role > the
said Charles Burket< no role > and this Informant delivered themthat about
a fortnight or three Weeks ago the said Charles Burket< no role > the Said William
Moody
< no role > and this Informant broke open a house in Tooley Street and
stole some Money among which was a great Number of Farthings and
some Linen Cloth a piece of black Cloth two Pencil Cases & 20 Pair of
Stockings and a Knife, that the Knife is the Same which was found upon
William Moody< no role > by Henry Wright< no role > , that they bought a Bull of one Jessom
a Razor Grinder with the said Farthings and Money, that the said black
Cloth was sold to Sarah Cave< no role > by the said John Bromley< no role > that the white Cloth
was part of it sold to one Henry Haines< no role > that about a Month
ago the said John Jones< no role > the said William Moody< no role > and this
Informant broke open the house of one Mrs. Gwynne at Lambeth
and stole Some Money & 4 Aprons which Aprons were pawned by
