An Inquisition [..]
[..] first Day of January in the 21st. Year of the
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville one of the Coroners of Our said Lord
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Thomas Jeeven William

good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said Elizabeth Randle< no role >
came to h er Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said Elizabeth
Randle on the Seventeenth Day of January in the year aforesaid
being an Infant of the Age of Four Years or thereabouts and being Left
In theLodgingApartment of her Mother Randle in the Parish
and County aforesaid a [..] Fire being then burning in the said Room
It so happened That accidentally casually and by Misfortune the
Cloaths which she the said Elizabeth Randle< no role > then and there had on and
wore book Five By Means whereof she the said Elizabeth Randle< no role >
was then and then mortally scorched and burnt of which said
Mortal Scorching and Burning she the said Elizabeth Randle< no role >
then and there Languished for the Space of about Seven Hours
and then Died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath
aforesaid Do say That the said Elizabeth Randle< no role > in Manner
and by the Means aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune
Came to her Death

In Witness whereof, as well as the said Coroner, as the said Thomas Jeeves the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition for their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned.
