what it was, he was informed it was what the deced had
[..] Dept. procured another Baron and poured off the fluid
from the first Baron and upon doing so he discovered some Powder
at the Bottom of the first Bason which Dept. placed upon a Paper
which when dryed Dept. found to be White Arsenic - and Dept.
has no difficulty in saying that the decedsdepthdeath must have been
occasioned by [..] Arsenic received into his body - Dept. says he
has since annalysed the powder her found at the bottom of the first
Baron as abovementioned and he has no doubt of it being white Arsenic
Sworn before one this 4th. day

Lane maketh oath that she hath lived there about a Week- That
about eight o Clock yesterday morng the deced came into the Kitchen
where Dept was and sat drawn in a Chair and began crying. that he gave Dept
attend [..] he had borrowed of her and a penny to pay for washing
of it that he left the Kitchen and sayed he would go to Bed that
he appeared very unhappy - That a little White after Dept. went
to the deceds Room that he was sitting in the Bed Vomiting in a
Bason. Dept. left him and went down their made stone
Ten and took some up to the deced Dept. asked him if he would
have the Tea he sayed No he would have some cold Water with
he took that she continued Vominting near a quarter of an hour
then layed himself down and Dept. left him Dept. saw him
again between ten & eleven that he was then vomiting - Dept.
continued a little while in the Room and then left him. That
Dept. went up again a little beforeabouttwelve that he then appeared to be dying
and Dept. continued with about three Minutes when die departed
this Life - Dept. says the deced since she has been in the [..] has
appeared very dull and Melancholy and often used to cry
