LondonDepositions of Witnesses taken at London
that is to say at the parish of Saint Botolph
without Aldersgate in the Ward of Aldersgate
without in London aforesaid this 6th. day of
November 1797 on view of the body of Theodosia
Ouder now here lying Dead.

Taylor maketh Oath that about eight oClock on Friday Night last
Deponent returned to House That in a few Minutes after Dept. being
in the lower front Room of his House Mr. John Ouder< no role > the husband
of the deced who together with the deced have lodged in the one
pair of Stairs of Dept. house between two and three Months past
cameinto the [..] home and came into Depts. Room that after
asking Dept. if he had seen the deced he went up Stairs that
he heard him knock at the Door of the one pair of Stairs that he
came down to Dept. sayed he was afraid all was not right
that his Room Door was locked inside Dept. went up to the one pair
of Stairs with Mr. Ouder and found the door fastened inside
That in a little while after Dept. forced the Room Door open
and upon going into the Bed Room backwards he found the
deced hanging by a Towel fastened round the foot Railing
of the bedstead-Dept. That a Mr. Roberts who was present
when Dept. forced the Door Open cut the deced down That she
appeared quite Dead-That a Surgeon who had been sent for
came and examined the deced and sayed he could do nothing
for her That she was quite Dead-That during the time the deced
has been at Depts. house she [..] hath appeared very sudden
and reserved

that she saw the deced about three oClock on Friday afternoon last
that she observed nothing particular in the deced then That during
the time the deced has been at Depts. house she [..] hath always
appeared heavy dull and melancholy-That the deced and he
husband appeared to live very happy and agreeable together
