LondonDeposition of a Witness taken at London that
is to say, at the parish of Christchurch in the Ward
of Farringdon within in London aforesaid this
9th. day of September 1797 on view of the body of
David Saunders< no role > now here lying Dead

Charles Wilson< no role > a Prisoner in His Majesty< no role > 's Gaol of Newgate
Maketh Oath that he hath known the deced David Saunders
about ten Months that he was also a Prisoner in the said Gaol
That on the 9th August last the deced wascameinto the Sick Ward whose Dept. attends on
the 9th of August lastill in a decline or consumption-That he
hath been confined to his Bed ever since and continued to decline
and get worse daily until yesterday afternoon between two &
three oClock when he departed this Life That he was attended
by the Surgeon of the Goal during his illness.
