Informations of Witnesses taken at
the parish of Saint George the Martyr
within the Borough of Southwark in
the County of Surrey the 4th. Novr. 1796
on view of the body of Wm. Booker there
lying dead.

James Turner< no role > late servant to the deced who was a
Smith and lodged in Lombard Street Southwark maketh
oath thatlast Wednesdayyesterday sworning when Dept went to [..]
his Masters Shop to work he found the Shop shut, therefore he
got into an adjoing Shop & from thence into his Masters where
he saw him hanging by a rope one end of which was partened
about his neck and the other end to a beam which runs across
the shopDept immed made an alarm and persons came and
the deced was cut down Says he appeared to be quite dead.
