An Inquisition Indented taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at London that is
to say at the parish of Saint Bridges otherwise Bride in the Ward of Farringdon without
in London aforesaid on the twenty sixth day of May in the thirty sixth year of the reign
of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and
Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth before Thomas Shelton< no role > Gentleman Coroner
of our said Lord the King for the City of London and Brough of Southwark on view
of the body of John Boyer< no role > now here lying dead by the oath of Robert Mortimere< no role > Joseph
Badhouse
< no role > William Drew< no role > James Rogers< no role > Samuel Bonner< no role > Samuel Reader< no role > John Kendle< no role >
William Chalecies< no role > John Benniston< no role > William Challeceis< no role > John Benniston< no role > William Butterfred< no role >
Richard Warren< no role > and John Dix good and lawful men of the City of London aforesaid who
being now here duly chosen sworn and charged to inquire for our said Lord the
King when how and in what manner the said John Boyer< no role > came to his death say
upon their oath that the said John Boyer< no role > on the twenty fifth day of May in the year
aforesaid being a prisoner in his Majesty< no role > 's prison of the Fleet situate in the parish and ward
aforesaid in London aforesaid and being then and there sick and languishing It so happened
that the said John Boyer< no role > within the prison aforesaid by the visitation of God died a
natural death and by no violent means a manner whatever. In Witness whereof
as well the said Coroner as the said Robert Mortimer< no role > the foreman of the said Jurors on
behalf of himself and the rest of his fellows in their presence have to this Inquisition
set their hands and seals the day year and place first above written.
