Informts. of Witnesses to the 30th
day of Janry 1795 as the parish of
St. John the Baptist in the Ward of Newgate
London on view of the body of John

David Price< no role > [..] Apprentice to Mr Davies
of No.156 upper Thames Street Grocer maketh Oath thatabout
between Eleven and twelve Monday Morning last a Mr
Smith a Chimney Sweeper brought a Boy with him in ordr
to sweep a Chimney in the Counting house the back part of
Dept Marton house that smith the Master of the Boy raked
the fire out & then sayed to the Boy there Jack goup that
the Boy pulled a Cap which he had on over his face & then
went up the Chimney-that the Master hallsed to the Boy
& desired him to group the Boy answered & sayed he was
going that the Master continued about a quarter of an how
& the Boy not appearing to go far up the Chimney the Made
went out that the Master returned in about twenty
Minutes & brought another Boy with him which Boy he sent
up the Chimney & told him to bring the other Boy down
after the Boy had gone up the Chimney he halloed the Smith
the Master of sayed he could not loosen the others Legs. [..]
Smith the Master went out & returned with Rope & gave
in to the Boy he had sent up the Chimney last that the Boy went
up with the Rope which Dept believes he tied to Smiths Boy's
Legs that being done Smith pulled the Rope & the two Boys
[..] down nearly together the look Boy standing on one side
of the Chimney in order to case Smiths Boy in coming down
