is to say, at the parish of Saint Mary at Hill on
the Ward of Billingsgate
in London aforesaid
this 7th: day of January 1795

maketh Oath that about nine O Clock on Monday Morning last
consequence of some information he received he went to Somers Kay
Stairs that he saw the deced lying upon the Causeway upon his back
a Rope fastened to one of his Arms [..] & the other end to one of the Piles
to prevent the tide carrying him awayDept. caused a Kell to be
brought and had the deced put into it and taken to the place where
he now liesthat his right Leg was broken which Dept. thinks was
occasioned by the Craft settling on it as the side fellthat from his
appearance he had not been many Days in the Waterthat he
had nothing in any of his Pocketsmeanly dressedno other
Marks or bruises about him but as before mentioned.
