Informations of Witnesses taken at the parish of
Saint Botolph without Bishopsgate in the
Ward of Bishopsgate in London the 26th. day of
January 1793 on view of the body of David
Mendes then and there lying dead

Rebecca Mendes< no role > This name instance is in set 2097. of Bell Square Moorfields daughter of the
deceased maketh that last Tuesday the 22nd. instant rather before
twelve at noon the deced went to see an Infant son of his who layed
dead in the house, and in at sight of the Child he complained of
being sick & asked for some brandy which Dept gave to him. That Dept
left him & in about half an hour afterwards she returned to him when
he again complained that he was sick & he looked very pate & ill, &
Dept gave him some more Brandy. That he afterwards layed down on
a bed, to continued very ill, & went undressed & went into bed. That
about three or afterwards she heard him groan or more very much
& Dept went to him & called her mother up. That the deced never
spoke afterwards & died the next morning about half past pice
Dept Says that the deced complained of being sick when he rose on the
Tuesday morning and he appeared to be sick & ill the whole morning, but
& complained of his head, but what occasioned his illness or death Dept
positively says she does not know, or has she any reason to suspect anything
in particular to have occasioned it.

maketh oath
Red Cross Street No 24 maketh oath that last Tuesday
Dept went to the deceds house to assist in the houshold work. Says the deced
complained of his head & that he was sick all the morning, & in the afternoon
he became speechless, and died the next morning.
