thatabout two Years-that he
was also a Soldier in the same Batation-that yesterday
Noon between the hour of twelve and one Deponent and
the deceased went to work in a Crane belonging to Mr. John
William Goss< no role >
of Bull Wharf
in the Parish of Saint Michael

Wharfinger-to load a Craft lying at Bull
Wharf with Sugar-that the deced & Dept: got into the
Crane together to lower a back of Sugar from the said Wharf
into the Craft aforesaid that whilst they were lowering the
said Cask of Sugar into [..] the Craft the people [..]
attending the Wharf cryed out "Floa" which was a signal for
Dept. & the deced to turn themselves in the Crane-that Dept.
did so & desired the deced to do the same-which he did &
went one Step-that the Crane going round very fast
& the deced not knowing how to manage the Crane with
Dept: the Crane went round so fast that the deced was
obliged to catch hold of the spokes of the Wheel as did the
Dept. that the Wheel continuing to go round faster and
faster the deced could not meet his hold [..] but was
thrown out of the Wheel [..] between the Wheel and the Wall
and there not being much space between the Wheel and the
Wall the deced was crushed between the Wall and
the Wheel [..] that the people attending the
Wharf stopped the Wheel-and got the deceased out from
between the Wheel and the Wall-that he appeared very
much hurt and very much bruised and bled a little
that he had a large cut over his Eye-that he was taken
away from the Wharf-and Dept: [..] saw no more of him
