London Lighterman, to the Hambrough Wharf the deceased
being before Deponent, that the deceased endeavored to a
step from said Barge called the John to another Barge
that lay within her, but in stepping from said Barge
the deceased's foot by some means slipt and he fell
ideways into the Water-that Deponent immediately gave
the alarm some people came and grappled for the deceased
and in about fifteen Minutes he saw deceased
taken out of the Water that and taken to the said
when taken out of the Water appeared quite dead that
a Mr. Redfarm a Surgeon tryed [..] to recover the
deceased but without effect that Dept has known the
deceased near seven Years part and had worked
with him several times and Deponent and the deceased
were always upon friendly terms.
