WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Gilesin the Fields in the said County,
that Elizabeth Pickett< no role > Single
Woman is
lately come into the said Parish endeavouring to settle
there, contrary of Law. And it appeareth unto us the
said Justices, and we do adjudge that she is likely
to become chargeable to the said Parish ; and upon Exami-
nation of The Sd. Elizabeth Pickett< no role >
taken upon Oath, it further appeareth unto us,
and we do likewise adjudge, that the Parish of
St. Dionis Backchurch in the
City of London is the place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Elizabeth Pickett< no role >

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Giles in the fields
forthwith to remove and convey the said Elizabeth
Pickett

from the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fields
to the Said Parish of St. Dionis Backchurch
and deliver her to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are here-
by required to provide for her according to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals the 8th Day of
January 1765

To the Church-wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the respective Parishes of
St. Giles in the Fields
in the County of Middlesex ,
and St. Dionis Backchurch in the City
of London
and to all other Officers whom it may
convern.
