Whereas Matthew Dionys< no role > one of the poore children of the parish of St. Dionys
Backchurch London is now at nurse with the wife of mee Robert Humber< no role >
ston of the parish of st Mary Magdalone Bermondsey in the county of said
Labourer And whereas the said Child was at the time of the putting forth the
Same to my Said Wife infected with the soul disease, and any Said wife hath
contracted much weakenes & illnes (if not the Same disease) by giveing Suck to &
tending of the said child Now these presents witnes that I the said Robert
Humberston have End and received at and before the ensealeing & delivery
hereof of William Phillips< no role > and Richard Cherbrook< no role > Churchwardens of
the said parish of St Dionys Backchurch London the Sume of forty Shillings
of lawfull money of England to pay for the cure of my Said wife and of
the said child, and in full satisfaccon of & for the Curt received by my said
wife of meanes of the said child: see as I shall not Edwaster clay me or require
any further or other Satisfaccon of or for the said Curt or dammay In witnes
whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale Dated the fourth day
of May Anno Din 1675 And in the Seaven & twentieth years of the reign
of our Sovereigne Lord King Charles the Second over England Etc
