Wardens on behalf of the said parish and that the said Richard phelps< no role > shall & will pay & all [..] per pound for so many [..] weight of instal as the said six old Bells shall weight
the Clapped And proper touable for a Sesser Quantity then a hundred weight which sume of ten pence 9 pound is Agreed to be [..] dulted out of the price or vallue of the Eight diew Bello which are to be cast by the said Richard phelps< no role >
the James Herbert< no role > & Charles Ball< no role > or the said parish in gte of payment of the purchase money or price of Such Eight Now Bells According to the Condition or Agreement herein after mentioned

Item the said Richard phelps< no role > for himself his heirs Excord & admord Doth Covenant proulise & Agree to & with the said James Herbert< no role > & Charles Ball< no role > & their Successors That he the said Richards phelps< no role > Shall & wills on or before the Twenty
fifth day of March now next evening Sett up & fix in the Steeple of the said parish church a Compleat Sett of Eight now Musical & Tuncable bells which said Eight Bells shall weigh Eighty hundred weight of Metal lime more or less in x
without the Clapped and Shall be sold to the said James Herbert< no role > and Charles Ball< no role > & their Successors on the behalf of the said parish at the rate of Six pounds for Every hundred weight of metall & so in proporton for al [..] quantity which
Eighty hundred weight of metall doth amount to 4 sume of four hundred & Eighty pounds or thereabtd. out of which 4 weight of 4 old bells 10th. have been computed to weigh seventy three hundred weight of metal little more or less & amots. to three hundred & forty pounds orther [..] is to be deducted
The said Richards phelps< no role > for himself his heirs Extrord & Admord doth further Covenant & agree to and with the said James Herbert< no role > & Ball and their Successors That he will likewise before the said Twenty Fifth
any of March next evening fix and Set up a Compleat Now and Substantiall Frame to all said Bells of the best English Oake Timer And that all the wheels to the said Bells Shall be made of the best and
most subet [..] in the same manner the most substantiall wheels for ringing boled are now made And that all the stubbs and all the Clapperd and all the Ironwork and Brassworks & in [..]
Appurtonanted belonging to the said Bills Shall be made & compleated by him in the best & most substantiall and workmanlike manner And that he will find & provide a new Sett of Roped to the said Eight
Bells and be at all the charges & Exponted whatsoever Either of Mason Smith Bricklayers or Carpenters works in fixing or Setting up the said Bells & making them fitt for ringing and provide all the materialls above
mentioned for the sume of lightly four pounds & tens Shillings Sx Richard phelps< no role > having the Liberty of making use of such of ye old Timber & other materials as shall be good and substantiall and fitt for the said works

The said Richard phelps< no role > for himself his heirs Excord & administrators Doth further Covenant & Agree to and with the said James Herbert< no role > and Charles Ball< no role > & their Successors That in case it shall so happen that
It shall be necessary after the said Bells shall be so fixt up to intt or Chip away of the Metal belonging to the said Bells in orders to make them covenant or agreeable to the proper Tone or [..] silk one to another That in
then & in Such Case duth chippings or paces of Metal that shall be so Cutt off from the said Bells & as can be said Richard phelps< no role > shall be fairly weighed between the said Richard phelps< no role > & the said James in
Herbert & Charles Ball< no role > on the behalf of the sd. parish & an Allowants shall be made to them at after the rate of Six pounds 9 Hundred for so much of the sd. Clippings as shall be entt of the sd. Bells & so in proporton for ale [..] weight

It is Agreed by and between the said partyes to these presents That It after the said Bells and frames & all other the materills thereto belonging shall be so fixt up in the Steeple of the said parish Church any difference shall
Arise touching the Goodness of the Musick & Sound of the said Bells & also of the Metall of which they shall be made And also of the Frames & workmanship thereto belonging Such diferrence shall within the Spare of in
Ten days after the said Bells shall be so put up & made fitt for ringing as aforesaid be Submitted to the Judgement or opinion of four impartiall & Just Judged Two where of shall be chosen by the said James Herbert< no role >
& Charles Ball< no role > or by the parishioners of the said parish in vestry assembled and the other Two shall be chosen by the said Ricahrd phelps< no role > and in Case such four Judged Shall disagree in their Judgement Then in
they shall chose an Umpire between them and the Judgment of such Judged so to be chosen or of the Major part of them or of such Umpire to be chosen as aforesaid Shall be made within one month after such in
Submission or reference to them as aforesaid and the Judgment Such Judged or Umpire so to be chosen by Suchs Judged in Case they disagree shall be finall & [..] ons both sides with out any recourse to a court of Law or
Equity and in Case the said Judged or the said Umpire so to be Elerted by them Shall be of opinion That all or any of the said Bells shall be defortue or bad either with respect to the Justness or Goodness of their Tone
or Musick or with respect to the Badness of the Mettal of which they shall be made or with respect to the putting up the said Frame & matterialls That then all the said Bells or Such of them as shall be found to be in x
defective in any of the respect aforesaid shall be taken down at the proper costs and Charged of the said Richard phelps< no role > and shall be now cast or altered and new fixt up again likewise at his own Costs & charged
and shall be Now cast & altered over and over again if Occasion Shall require until they are made perfectly compleat & Agreeable in Sound one to another & in goodness of Metall to the good liking of such in
Judged or Such Umpire so to be chosen as aforesaid

The said James Herbert< no role > & Charles Ball< no role > for themselves & their Successors Do Covenant & Agree to & with the said Richard Phelps< no role > his heirs Excord & Admord That they the said James Herbert< no role > & Charles Ball< no role > & their Successors
as soon as the said Eight New Bells with their Appurts as aforesaid shall be putt in the said Steeple & as soon as the said Judged or Umpire Shall fully Approve of the same shall & will within Six days after in x in
approbation of the said Judged well & truely pay or cause to be paid to the said Richard phelps< no role > his Heirs Excord or Admord after the rate of Six pounds per hundred for Every hundred weight of Metall as the said Eight New Bells
shall weigh & so in proporton for a Sessor Quantity after [..] of Ten pence per pound for so many hundred weight of metall as the saids old Bells shall weigh as aforesaid and also the said Sume of Eighty four pounds
& ten Shillings for the Frames wheels and All other the Appurts whatsoever belonging to the said Bells & for All other Charges whatsoever that may Acc [..] by reason of the fixing or putting up the said Bells in
or taking down the old ones or anywise relating thereto or in case no difference shall happen be between them the sd. sumed shall be paid within Six days after the sd. Bells be fixt up and fitt ringing as aforesaid

The said Richard phelps< no role > for himself his heirs Excord & Admord Doth covenant promise & Agree to & with the said James Herbert< no role > & Charles Ball< no role > & theirs Successors That when the said Bells Shall be fixt up & he Shall be
paid for the same as aforesaid That he said Richard phelps< no role > Shall & will Warrant & insure the sd. Bells form being subject or lyable to be broken Crakt or damaged for the Spare of aycar after they shall be so put up
as aforesaid by any fair ringing or good uscage And for the true per to remove of all & Singular the Covenants & Agreements herein contained they the said James Herbert< no role > & Charles Ball< no role > for themselves & their ins
Successors and the said Richard philps< no role > for himself hiss heirs Excord & Admord Do Each of them Doth bind himself and themselves to Each other in the ponall sume of five hundred pounds to be cost for feited or paid by
him or them who shall neglect or refuses to comply with the Covenants & Agreements on Each part in theses presents contained In Witness whereof the said partyed to these presents have herein to in
Interchangeably sett their hands & Seals the [..] of the faith [..]
