Repairs of
Church

At a meeting of the Committee for the Repairs of the
Church &c. by Adjournment on Tuesday the 24th. April
1787 . Present Mr. Edwd. Tutet< no role > , Upper Church Warden .
Mr. John Hawkins< no role > , Mr. Thos. Hudson< no role > , Mr. J. Wm. Galabin,
Mr. Henry Rutt< no role > , Mr. James Eley< no role > , Mr. Thos. Hunter< no role > ,
Mr. James Green< no role > .

Annuities
on lives.

Mr. Church Warden Tutet acquainted the Committee,
that in consequence of the Advertisements, he had received a
great number of Proposals from Persons willing to advance
Money to the Parish on Life Annuities, and that many were
now attending for that purpose. But before any Proposal was
admitted, it would be necessary for the Committee to fix and
agree on the Sum to be raised. It was thereupon moved That
a Sum not exceeding One Thousand Pounds be raised by
Granting an Annuity or Annuities on one or more Life or
lives, and being seconded, the Question was put and Carried
in the Affirmative.

The several Proposals were then received, and the Persons
attending called in one after another, and the same being
taken into consideration, It was Moved, That the Proposal
of Robert Pearce< no role > , aged Sixty two years, for an Annuity of
Fifty two Pounds ten Shillings for his Life in Consideration
of Five Hundred Pounds, be Accepted. And being seconded
the Question was put and Carried in the Affirmative.

It was then Moved that the Proposal of Rebecca Gaskill< no role >
Widow aged Fifty two years for an Annuity of Forty five
Pounds for her Life in consideration of Five Hundred
Pounds be also accepted; And being seconded, the Question
was put and carried in the affirmative

The Committee were then adjourned.
