An Estimate of the Repairs of the Church taken by a
Skilfull Surveyor. which amounted to £113.

Ordered the Church to be repaired according to the sd. Estimated


Ordered that the Same Committee be empowered to treat and
Agree with proper Workmen to repair the Church & be indemnified
A Motion made for 2 new Branches in the Room of one, but
Passed in the Negative
Ordered that the old Branch be beautified, tho not included in
the Estimate
Ordered that the Kings Arm's be removed & sett up over
the Communion Table

Mr. C: Warden Scullard Acquainted the Gent. that he had received sevl.
Proposals in Writing for doing the Repairs of the Church, And that Mr Dance
would Undertake to do ye. Same in a Workman like manner for 133:15:0
including the Painting the Curtain, Kings Arms & Iron Rails.


Ordered that the Church Warden Scullard Do Agree with Mr. Dance to
repair the Church & that Sume not Exceeding £133:15: be Allowed for ye Same

Ordered a New Pulpitt Cloth< no role > , Cushion & Communion Table Cloth & that
a Sum: not Exceeding £40 be Allowed for the Same.


July. 22.

Dr. Smith proposed to give a New Branch to be placed in the
Church if the Parish would be at the Charge of another Branch of the Same
Value, Dr. Smith Proposal Accepted, Ordered that a New Branch be
placed in the Church at the Parish Charge of the Same Value as that proposed
to be given by Dr. Smith, And that the Thanks of this Vestry be given to Dr.
Smith for his intended Benefaction.} 270: 271

Decr. 9.

Mr. Church Warden Scullard laid before the Gent: a particular Account in
Writing of the Charge of the Repairs of the Church amounting to £415:15:

Resolved That the Several Workmen employed in the Repairs of the
Church be paid their Work being first Surveyed & Bills inspected by Mr Dance


Resolved that a Sumd: not exceeding one Year & an half poors Rate
upon the foot of this present Years Poor Rate be raised on the Inhabitants by a
Discretionary Rate (in the Usual Manner as the Poors Rate) & not by a Pound
Rate towards the Charge of the Repairs of the Church.
