Mr Church Warden Spackman
from the Comittee reported
that they had prepared an
Estimate of the Charge in
Settling a Work house Etc.

At this Vestry Mr. Church Warden Spackman
from the Committee appointed to consider of and take an
Estimate of the Charge in Settling a Workhouse for the
better keeping and employing the Poor of this Parish
and to compare such Estimate with the Annual
Expence the Parish of late Years hath been at.
Reported that the said Comittee had prepared an
Estimate of the said Charge which he delivered
in at the Table.

The Same ordered to be read

Ordered That the said Estimate be now read
and the Same was read accordingly

The Estimate considered.

Then the Gentlemen present took the said
Estimate into Consideration Article by Article, and after
a Debate the Question was putt whether it would be forr
the Benefit of this Parish to Sett up a Workhouse for the
better keeping and Employing the Poor of this Parish
And it was carryed by a Majority in the Negative

Money ordered to be raised
to pay of the Debt of Mr
Holloway late< no role > C Warden.

Mr Spackman afterwards acquainted the
Vestry that there was a considerable Debt due from this
Parish to Mr. William Holloway< no role > the late Churchwarden
contracted during the Time of his holding that office
which he desired they would consider of and also of
proper methods to discharge the same After some
Debate It was then moved that this Vestry should Impower
the Present Church Wardens to take up a competent.
