Workhouse would not be an Ease and Benefitt to
the Parish and laid before them several Estimates of the
Monthly Charge of keeping and Employing their Poor
in other Parishes were Work-houses had been lately Sett up
and he read the Estimates in his Place.

Mr Hawy's moved for a
Comittee to be chosen to take
an Estimate of the Charge in
Setting a Work house Etc

Mr. William Hawy< no role > 's moved that a Comittee
should be Appointed to consider of and take an Estimate of
the Charge in Settling a Work house for the better keeping
and Employing the Poor of this Parish, and compare
such Estimate with the Annual Expence the Parish of
late years had been at, and Report the Same

The same was ordered
accordingly.

After a Long Debate the Question being putt on
the said Motion it was carryed by a majority that a
Comittee should be Appointed to consider of and take an
Estimate of the Charge in Settling a Work-house for the
better keeping and Employing the Poor of this Parish, and
to compare such Estimate with the Annual Charge
the Parish of late Years had been at

A Committee Chosen

Then It was moved that the following Gentlemen
(vizt.) the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor, for
the time being together with Mr. Thomas Oyles< no role > Mr
Richard West< no role > Mr John Dodd< no role > , Mr. James Newton< no role > , Mr
Benjamins Rusbatch< no role > , and Mr. George Scullard< no role > should
be the Comittee for the Purposes aforesaid and their
Names being severally Read over the Question was putt
and they were chose Accordingly

Any five of them shall
be a Committee.

Ordered that the said Gentleman or any five
of them shall be a Comittee.

Two Committee to report their
Proceedings to the Vestry.

Ordered that the said Comittee Do make a
Report of their Proceedings from time to time to the
Vestry.

Then the Comittee adjourned.
