The Minutes of the intervening Sub-Committees, since
the 9th. July last were read and confirmed.
Employment of Prisoners
Commee. approve of
adversiment.The Committee approved of the Advertisement drawn
up by the Sub-Committee on the 7th. August last respecting
employment for the Prisoners, and Ordered that the same
be inserted in the Public Papers.
Cells in Women's Prison
Small no. of considd.Took into consideration the small number of Cells on the
Women's Side of the Prison, and found on inquiry, that, on
that account, it frequently happens that two Women are put
into one Cell: Resolved to State it to the House Committee
and request them to consider whether or not an additional
numbers of Cells on the Women's Side would be adviseables.
