By the Calendar of the Prisoners there appeared to be

Committee meet to
contract for Works
at Men's Prison .The Committee having met to receive proposals and to contract for the
alterations proposed to be made on the South West side of the Square for
the purpose of converting the Houses into a Prison for the men the
following persons attended and delivered in their proposals for
performing the works mentioned in the Surveyors particular at the
prices undermentioned

Accept the Proposal
of Snuggs.Whereupon the Committee accepted the proposal of the said Samuel
Snuggs
< no role > for performing the whole of the said works for the sum of
£1362. the same to be completed on or before the 30th. of Septemr
next And the said Samuel Snuggs< no role > is to enter into Security with
two responsible House Keepers in £500. penalty for the due performance
thereof.

Surveyor to employ
Labourer In TrustOrdered that the Surveyor be empowered to employ a Person
as labourer in Trust to see that the works be done pursuant to the
Contract.
