This Meeting was called to take into Consideration
the Act of Parliament for making better provision
" for the Maintenance of the poor and for diminishing
" the Consumption of Bread Corn by directing the
" manner of applying Parish relief untill the 6th. day
'' of November 1801 and from thence untill the End of
" six Weeks after the Meeting of the then next Session
" of Parliament" in Consequence of Mr. Churchwarden
Hewson having been Summoned to appear before
the Magistrates at an adjourned Session at Guildhall
on Thursday last under the said Act and directed
by them to make certain Returns to the said
Magistrates on Tuesday sen night next but the
Churchwardens not attending to inform the
Committee the particulars required by the Session
to be done the Meeting was adjourned till 6 in the
Evening precisely to proceed on the Business and it
was ordered that Mr. Churchwarden
