"there is so great that the Servants are not able to bear the same in a
"Morning before the Doors of the said House are opened for Air, Now
"this Complainant applies to the Candour of this Vestry And hopes they
"will have regard to the Lives of those who are so nearly concerned therein
"by which you may in all human probability prevent such a pestilence
"from being dangerous to the Neighbourhood for the Matter in hand now
"becomes essentially necessary to acquaint you therewith and desire
"Redress-This Vault was formerly as a Repository for the Bones
"dug out of the Church Yard by making Graves from which there only
"arose an Earthy Smell and this Complainant prayeth that the
"said Vault may be entirely shut up or appropriated to the former use
"of a Charnell House

And the said Mr Marchant and his Neighbour Mr John Bridge< no role >
being heard on the Contents of the said Complaint and Petition and the
same being taken under Consideration and Debated It is Ordered
that no more Corpse be buryed in the Vault Complained of but that
the same be entirely shut up

An Extract from the Registry of the Prerogative Court of
Canterbury, of the last will & Testament of Sr . Samuel Starling< no role > Knt .
formerly an Alderman of the City of London bearing date the Seventh day
of April 1673 so far as relates to Aldgate Parish was Read, as likewise
an Account of Receipts and payments relative to the said Charity was now
delivered in by Mr Sansum on which he make a Ballance of Five Shillings
and two pence now due to him was now read-Whereupon several Debates
arose concerning the management of the said Charity, And Agreed to
Recommend to the Wardmet Inquest & Leet Jury to appoint a Committee
of three of each Body to Enquire whether the said Charity has been of late &
now is managed & carried on according to the Donor's will and to Report at
a future Vestry

Ordered that Messrs. Hodgon's & Beale's & Messrs. Coates & Collis's Renter
Churchwardenship Accounts be Audited this day 3 Weekes

Ordered also that the Bill Frames be repaired & put into proper Order
