Att a meeting of the Inhabitants of the Parish of St
Buttolph without Aldgate summond and held by the said
Parish in there Vestry Room ye 10 Day of October 1711

The Minister and Churchwardens reported to the Vestry that
they had recd a Message in Writing from the Commissr. appointed
by Act of Parliment for the Building 50 new Churches to give
them an account of the Number and Condicon of the Inhabitants
and what new Church or Churches were Nessesary to be Built and for
the propper places or Scites to Build the same upon and alsoe for Church
Yards and houses for the Minister of such Churches to Inhabitt in

Whereupon the Question was put wheather the Inhabitants of
the freedom part and Vestry would consent that the Inhabitants
of East Smithfield being the Lower part of the Parish should Provide
themselves ground to Build pursuant to the said Act a Church
upon such place as they shall think propper and It was carried
in the affirmative

Another Question was put wheather
the Inhabitants of the Lower part would Consent that the
Inhabitants of the freedom part if they think fitt should Provide
themselves ground in the freedom to Build a Church upon
Pursuant to the said Act on such places as they should find,
Propper and it was carried in the affirmative Provided the
Commissr. appointed by the Act Doe Consent and agree
for the Building of two Churches

It was Voted and Agreed by the said Vestry that there is
no Chappels in the sd. Parish fitt to be made a Church off
