Att a Vestry held March ye: 17: 1705/6

Att the Parish of St: Buttolphs without Allgate
Noe whose names are under wrighting being Present
Information being given that a brick Vaught was
made in a Clandestine manner in the Church
for the wife of Mr: Floyde & Mr. Polden & some
others of that family & that John Linsey< no role > the sexton
for the Lower end of the Parrish had then the
[..] care of the Church & made no Discovery of itt
and that Hugh Hartshorne< no role > Sexton for the upper
end was the Chiefe ajent in the makeing of itt
It was therefore voted & agreed yt. unless Mr: Floyd
Pay twenty Pounds to the Parish for the said vaug [..]
the Bricks to be Removed out when the Churchwardens
shall think fitt itt is further ordered that Hugh
Hartshorne
< no role > be Suspended for two months & John
Linsey
< no role > for one month from being Sextons unless
the Antients of either end think good to take of Par [..]
of this Suspention of the Sexton belonging to them

Allso ordered that a new velvett Cushtion be made
for the Pulpitt of green velvett & a Peice of Needle
work of Silk putt in the Midle of itt
