William Ellis< no role > maketh oath That Several
Years ago he rented a house of Six pounds a year in the Butcher
Row in the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the
Sd County & was Charged to and paid Poors Rates for the Same
& by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there That
he has not Since rented a house of Ten pounds a year or
upwards or Served any Parish office or paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act to gain anothr
Settlement to his knowledge or belief

deced maketh oath That divers Years ago She was hired
lived as ahired servant by the year by & with John White< no role > of
the Parish of St Mary Stratford Bow in the Sd County of Middx
Lighterman & Coalmerchant & Continued in Such Service for the
Space of fifteen Months That at the time She this Deponent was so
hired her Said late husband then lived & for Some Considerable
time before had lived with her Sd Master (as her Sd husband has
informed her & which She believes to be true) as ahired servant by
the year at the Weekly Wages of eight Shillings as an Allowance
for his Board & Lodging found him in his Sd Masters house That
in Consequence thereof her Sd husband & also herself Continued
on in Such Service as aforesd for nine Months from the time
that She this Depont was so as aforesaid hired When they were
lawfully married nevertheless after Such Marriage So had
She & her Said husband Still continued in the Service of the
Said Mr White in Manner as before Stated for Six Months
longer That during Such last mentioned Six months this
Deponts Said husband was obliged as well as previous to
their Marriage Arising necessarily from the Circumstances
attending his Said Masters Business to Lodge occasionally
out of his Said Masters house but such Lodging was always in
the Same Parish That her Sd husband has not Since he
left Such Service as aforesaid rented a house of Ten pounds
a year or upwards or Served any Parish office or paid
