without Aldgate in the Said County Beadle maketh oath that
he has been informed by one Mrs Barranger who is now in
the Workhouse belonging to the parish of St James
Clerkenwell in the sd County & Mother of one Richard
Barranger
< no role > a poor man now in the Workhouse belonging
to the sd parish of St Botolph without Aldgate & some what
disordered in Mind & which information this Deponent believes to be
true That her husband Richard Barranger< no role > deced & Father
of the Sd Richard Barranger< no role > her Son rented a house of Twelve
pounds a year in the Said parish of St James Clerkenwell
& by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there & did not
afterwards do any Act to gain another Settlement & that the
Said Richard Barranger< no role > her Son is legally Settled in the
Said parish of St James Clerkenwell in right of his Said
Fathers Settlement there He the Said Richard Barranger< no role >
the Son having never been bound an Apprentice or lived as a
hired Servant for a year or rented a house of Ten pounds a year
or upwards or Served any Parish office or paid any Poors
Rates or Kings Taxes or done any Act to gain a Settlement for himself
