Dorothy Jones< no role > the Wife of John Jones< no role > maketh
oath That her said husband is lately gone away from her to
places unknown & left her destitute That She this Deponent
divers Years ago was lawfully married in the parish Church
of St Andrew Holborn London to one James Cutler< no role > of the
Trinity Minories London Gun Polisher Since deced by whom
She hath a Child now living namely Joseph Cutler< no role > aged about
five Years & half Whose legal place of Settlement in right
of his said late Father James Cutler< no role > is in the parish of Saint
Mary Whitechapel in the said County of Middlesex by his
Said late Fathers Renting two Tenements of the Yearly
Rent of Twelve pounds & residing thereon in Chamber Street
in the Said parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel about Five Years
ago & being Charged to & paying Poors Rates for the Same in
which Parish he died & by his not doing any Act to gain a
Subsequent Settlement elsewhere That She this Deponent
after her said first husbands death was lawfully married to
her present husband John Jones< no role > in the parish Church of
St Dunstan Stepney Middx who by Jude Beasingdale< no role > the
Twentieth day of May 1758 was duly bound apprentice to
John Godin< no role > of the parish of St Matthew Bethnal Green in
the said County of Middlesex Silkweaver with whom he
duly Served the whole of his said Apprenticeship there as he
has informed this Deponent & as this Deponent verily believes
& by means thereof gained a legal Settlement there That her
Sd husband Jones did not afterwards Rent a house of the
Yearly Rent or Value of Ten Pounds or Serve any Parish
office or pay any Poors Rates or Kings Taxes nor do any
Act to this Deponents knowledge or belief to gain a Subseqt
Settlement That She this Depont hath a Child named John< no role >
Aged about Nine Weeks the lawful issue of this Deponent
by her Said husband Jones
