maketh oath that about Twenty Seven years ago She was Married
to her late husband William Duke< no role > Mariner deced that she this
Deponent can give no Account respecting the Place where he was
legally settled at the time of his death that she this Deponent divers
years ago and before her marriage with her late husband William
Duke
< no role > was hired & lived as a hired Servant by the year at Certain
yearly Wages with one Thomas Swetman< no role > in Rosemary Lane in the
Parish of Saint Mary Whitechapel in the County of Middlesex and
Continued in such Services for the Space of Seven Years and by means
thereof gained a legal Settlement there and this Deponent has not
Since done any Act to gain a Subsequent Settlement save what she
has acquired by Virtue of her Marriages with her former & present
husbands that she this Deponent hath a Daughter now living namely
Sarah Duke< no role > aged about Twenty four years by her said late husband
Wm Duke< no role > who hath not done any act to this Deponent knowledge
or belief to gain a Settlement for herself.
