Phebe Stamps< no role > the widow of William Uppington< no role >
deced and now the Wife of John Stamps< no role > maketh oath
that her said late husband Uppington hath informed
her that he was born in the Parish of Bricksworth
in the County of Northampton The which information
this Deponent believes to be true And this Deponent
Saith that to her knowledge information or belief her
Said husband was never bound Apprentice Nor ever
lived as a hired servant for a year Nor ever rented a
house of the Yearly Value of Ten Pounds a year or
upwards nor ever Paid any Poors Rates or Kings
Taxes Nor ever did any Act to gain a settlement since
his birth in his own right And that she hath not done
any Act since his Death to Acquire a settlement in her
own right Save what she might gain by her Marriage
with her now husband John Stamps< no role > And this Depont.
Cannot in any Wife setforth or discover the settlement
of her said late husbands Parents or of either of them
And this Deponent farther Saith that she hath two
Children namely Francis Uppington< no role > Aged Eight Years
And William Uppington< no role > Aged Seven Years & upwards the
lawful Issue of this Deponent by her said late
husband Uppington Deced.
