Mary Mc. Koy< no role > Single woman maketh oath That She
knows a Child named William Cooper< no role > Aged about three
Years who is become Chargeable or likely to be so to the Parish
of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the County of Middlesex
And this Deponent Saith That one Ann Tillroy< no role > deced did
in her life time inform this Deponent (& which information this
Deponent believes to be true) That she the said Ann Tillroy< no role >
was the Mother of Such Child And that the same was born
of her Body as an illegitimate or Bastard Child in the
house of one Mr Beatley in Hodgsdon Square in the Parish
of St. Leonard Shoreditch in the said County of Middlesex
And this Deponent farther Saith that she hath also been
informed & believes the same to be true That one William
Cooper
< no role > who is lately gone abroad as an East India Soldier
(as is alleged) is the Father of the said Child And that he &
the said Childs Mother deced were Scotch People.
