Collins
< no role > a Child Aged about Nine Years the son of John
Collins
< no role > hereto fore of Gillingham in the County of Kent
Shipwright deced by Elizabeth< no role > his late wife also deced
The which said John Collins< no role > the son is lately become Chargeable
to the Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate in the County
of Middlesex and hath not done any Act to the knowledge
information or belief of this deponent to gain any settlemt.
in his own right And this Depont. Saith that the said John
Collins
< no role > the Father deced in his life time informed this Depont.
that he was bound apprentice by Indenture & served his
Apprenticeship with John Warrin< no role > of the Parish of Gillingham
in the County of Kent shipwright & by Means thereof gained a legal
settlement there The which Information this Deponent verily
believes to be true and this Depont. is the rather induced to
believe such information to be true for that the Indre of
Apprenticeship whereby the said John Collins< no role > deced Appears
to have been bound to the said John Warrin< no role > is now in this
Deponts. Custody And this Depont. doth not know nor was
he ever informed whether the said John Collins< no role > deced ever
rented a house of Ten Pounds a Year or upwards or ever served
any Parish offices or ever Paid any Poors Rates or kings
Taxes or whether he ever did any Act to gain a Settlement
subsequent to his Said Apprenticeship
