John Hensman< no role > of the Parish of St. Botolph witht. Aldgate
Middx Beadle of the Said Parish Maketh oath that he hath
been Credibly informed and verily believes That one John Chapman< no role >
a Carpenter (who as this Depont has also been informed and
believes is abroad in foreign Parts) was born in the Parish of
Tunbridge in the County of Kent where his Settlement now is
as this Deponent hath been lately informed by his Father
George Chapman< no role > and his Sister in Law Martha Hopkins< no role >
and Which information this Deponent believes to be true And
this Deponent Saith that from the Information he hath received
from the Said George Chapman< no role > and otherwise he this Depont.
is induced verily to believe that the said John Chapman< no role >
his son never gained any derivative or Acquired settlement
since his Birth And this Deponent farther Saith that there
is a Child now living in the work house of the said Parish of
Saint Botolph without Aldgate named George Chapman< no role > aged
about five years who (as this Deponent has been informed by this
Martha Hopkins< no role > ) is the lawful Issue of the said John Chapman< no role >
by his lat [..] wife Ruth< no role > deced
And which Said Child is lately become Chargeable to the Said
Parish of Saint Botolph without Aldgate
