Thomas Lay< no role > maketh oath that about
Seventeen years ago he was bound apprentice
by Indre, for seven years & Mr. Robert Hawkes< no role > a Wheelwright
who then lived in London Coney in the parish
of Shenley in the County of Hertford and
Continued in such Service for the space of
five years and this Deponents Master
then dying he left his Mistress And
Never afterwards was a hired Servant by
the year Nor never Rented a house of Ten
pounds a year or upwards nor served any
parish offices nor to his knowledge or belief
hath he gained any Subsequent Settlement
since his Apprenticeship And this Depont
says that he hath wife named Sarah< no role > and
two Children to wit Ann< no role > aged about Seven
Years and Mary< no role > aged about twelve Months
the lawfull issue of this Deponent and his
sd wife
