The Examinacon of Elizabeth Phillips< no role > Singlewoman
Taken on oath before me one of his Majesties Justices
of the peace for the County of Middx residg. in or near
to the limits of the parish Church of St. Botolph
witht Aldgate in the sd. County this21Day
of August 1749

This Examinant upon her oath Saith that in or abt
the month of December last one John Bullwinkle< no role >
then and now of the precinct of Saint Katherine
near the Tower of London Victualler Did prevail
with this Examinant to Suffer him to lye with her
at his house in Ditchside in the said precinct
of St. Katherine and had Carnal knowledge of this
Examinants body & so had Several times whereby She
Conceived with child or Children of which She now goeth and
is pregnant And this Examinant Saith that the said Child
or Children of which she now goeth and is pregnant
as aforesaid is or are likely to be born a bastard or
Bastards and to be Chargeable to the said parish of
St. Botolph without Aldgate she not being able to
provide for the Same And that the Sd. John Bullwinkle< no role >
is the True & only father of the Said Child or Children
So likely to be born a Bastard or Bastards as aforesd.
And lastly Saith that this Examinacon is voluntary
And that she hath not been forced or compelled to be
examined by any person or persons whomsoever
