That the Committee were of opinion that such clauses in a Bill
presented by the City to Parliament for repairing the Common
Sewer in New Bridge Street as tended to charge the Hospital and
its Tenants with any new Tax or imposition should be opposed
And had ordered that a Lease should be granted to Mr. Geo.

for 21 years from Midsummer next at a net rent of £100

That the Treasurer reported that all the objectionable Clauses
in the Bridge Street Sewer Bill were expunged and the rights
and exemptions of the Hospital
and its Tenants preserved
by a saving Clause for that purpose.
That notice to quit his Farm be given to

declined executing the Counter part of his Lease and had let off
Great part of his farm And to some other Tenants at will of
the Hospital Estates in Lincolnshire
who had let off their Lands
without the consent of the Governors.
That it appearing to the Committee that the Aithes. of the Lincolnshire
Estates
which were formerly let for £50 Pr. year were for the
last year increased to £145.14.11 And for the present year to
£147.14. under the management and by the exertions of Mr.
Emmitt.
The Committee had resolved that the Steward should allow Mr.
Emmitt a poundage of £5 Pr. Ct. upon the net produce thereof
And had ordered the Pavement in the Treasurers Stable Yard to
be repaired.
