Continued Monday 29th. May 1775

Arts Masters and Apprentices.

That each Arts Master to be hereafter Elected shall engage to emply
four Apprentices if required by a General Court and upon Failure shall
be immediately turned out.

That Vacancies of Apprentices be immediately filled if there are
Boys ready who are properly qualified.

That the Regulations now in being relating to Arts Masters and
Apprentices be Strictly observed.

Prisons and Prisoners

That the City and Hospital Apprentices be always Kept seperate
from the other Prisoners.

That no Prisoner (except the Chamberlains Apprentices) be allowed
a Bed except by Order of the Prison Committee or (in Case of Sickness) of
some one of the Medical Officers of the Hospitals or of the Steward of
Bridewell such Beds to be found at the Expence of the Hospital.

That Ventilators be kept in the Mens and Womens Prison and that the
Ventilators be worked twice every day half an Hour each time by the Beadles

That the Prisons be fumigated twice a Week with Tar or Vinigar and
that the Straw be changed as often as needful

That a Bathing Tub be provided for the Mens. Prison and another
for the Women's Prison and that all Prisoners in Health to bear it be
bathed before brought up to a General Court and at other times. All
these later Regulations concerning the Prisoners to be Submitted to the
Prison Committee Assisted by the Medical Officers of these Hospitals.

General Rules

That when any thing is proposed which would cost the Charity three
Hundred Pounds the same shall not be undertaken unless approved by
two General Courts and by two thirds of the governors present at each.

That a List of all Benefactors governors Committees Officers Servants
Arts Masters and Apprentices belonging to these Hospitals together with
their respective Benefaction Duties Trades Salaries Perquisites and other
Emoluments be made out under the Direction of the House Committee
and when Approved by a General Court that 1000 Copies be Printed
and one given to each Governor.
